The tutor enjoys teaching and especially teaching Greek language to people coming from different countries and cultures. She personally believes in the student-tutor interaction. She is always open to her students’ suggestions making the lesson adjustable to their needs and enjoyable for them. The lessons are organized according to each student needs using the student-centered approach. The lessons aim to develop oral, written and communication skills. Students are provided with material which includes dialogues, exercises in grammar and vocabulary, listening, videos etc. Lectures are delivered in private or in small groups.
Beginners level
Beginners level aims to introduce the Greek Alphabet (reading and writing) and basic daily expressions such as greetings, exchange personal information etc. In addition, students practice in basic everyday dialogues such as going shopping, visiting a restaurant, giving directions, talking about daily activities, describing people/objects, etc.
Students also gain some familiarity with basic grammar rules aiming in improving their understanding in Greek language.
Intermediate level
Intermediate level aims to secure and then to widen the already acquired knowledge of Greek Language. Additionally, reading and listening activities aim to improve their knowledge and communication skills.
The students expand their vocabulary through role playing such as travelling, talking about the weather, inviting people, accepting/declining an invitation, making dialogues at different locations such as the bank, the doctor’s office, etc.
Important grammar rules which are given at the Beginners level, will be also reviewed in this level. Moreover, new grammar topics such as past and future tenses, comparative & superlative degrees, adjectives and nouns etc. will be taught at the intermediate level.
Advanced level
Advanced level aims to develop written and oral skills to the students in an advanced level using texts with a variety of topics, newspaper and magazine articles, videos etc. Students are able to engage in discussions on a wide range of professional and specialized topics regarding environment, economy, technology, work environment as well as current global issues.
